About The Position

The client is seeking a specialized business analyst, positioned at the intersection of data governance and privacy, rather than a generalist business analyst. The role involves working on medium-complexity projects requiring collaboration across multiple business areas, within a data governance team committed to bringing its data platform into compliance. The candidate will work in an Agile environment alongside a product manager, a project manager, and agile teams. This requires the ability to define needs, document requirements, and gain stakeholder buy-in, rather than simply producing technical deliverables. The presence of privacy protection within a Quebec financial institution necessitates familiarity with Bill 25 and its associated compliance frameworks. Technical profiles such as data engineers or BI analysts, as well as business analysts without exposure to data governance or privacy, do not meet this requirement.

Requirements

5 to 8 years of experience as a business analyst
Experience working within an Agile program
Knowledge of privacy
Knowledge of data governance

Nice To Haves

Business analysis certification, CBAP or PMI-PBA
Knowledge of the banking and financial industry

Responsibilities

Analyze situations to understand organizational problems and seize opportunities
