About The Position
This is a contract position for a Business Analyst located onsite in Columbus, OH. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, creating documentation, collaborating with various teams, and supporting the implementation of solutions. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for identifying process improvements, managing requirements in Azure DevOps or Jira, facilitating meetings, and mentoring junior analysts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
- Strong requirements elicitation and business process modeling skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Azure DevOps/Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Agile/Scrum experience with user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and processes.
- Create BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams.
- Support testing, UAT, defect validation, and solution implementation.
- Identify process gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Manage requirements and backlog using Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, demos, and status discussions.
- Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to documentation standards.
