About The Position

We are seeking a Business Analyst for the US Capitol Police (USCP) Information Resource Management Division (IRMD) Support program. This project will provide project management, business, administrative, and records management support for the USCP’s Office of Information Services (OIS), primarily supporting the IRMD. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, supporting USCP onsite a minimum of two days per week, with up to three days of telework after an initial two-month full-onsite acclimation period. Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. At Terrestris, we leverage technology to create better mission outcomes through better human performance. Requirements

  • Ability to successfully complete a USCP criminal history check and fingerprinting process and qualify for a USCP identification/access badge is required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience providing administrative, coordination, or project support services.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts, workflows, and tools; experience supporting IT projects preferred.
  • Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using collaboration and workflow tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Teams Planner, and Planner Premium.

Nice To Haves

  • Business Analysis or Agile certification (e.g., ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, CSPO).
  • Experience working with Agile delivery tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis and create process models or workflow diagrams.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support IT project delivery within a PMO by facilitating requirements gathering, managing backlogs, assisting in either Waterfall, Kanban or Agile ceremonies, and supporting general project coordination activities.
  • Support requirements gathering, user story development, acceptance criteria, and backlog refinement in tools such as JIRA and Teams Planner.
  • Assist with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Support UAT planning, documentation, and coordination activities as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation in Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, or similar platforms.
  • Prepare and update project materials including schedules, agendas, status reports, and action logs.
  • Coordinate project meetings, capture meeting notes, and follow up on assigned actions.
  • Support milestone tracking, timeline updates, and dependency monitoring under PM direction.
  • Assist with PMO governance activities, including risk and issue tracking, and routing documents for review/approval.
  • Provide communication support by developing draft stakeholder updates and reporting inputs.
  • Perform general PMO support when needed, such as data entry, project record maintenance, and logistics coordination.
