The Business Analyst will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy’s and DoD’s needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios. The team will conduct cyber analyses and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks, determine mission and operational impacts, and make appropriate mitigation recommendations. Additionally, program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs. The Role: As Business Analyst, you will perform and attend scrum ceremonies as part of an agile development effort including work item refinement, stand-up, sprint planning, PI planning, and Business Analyst and Product Owner (PO) syncs. Although expected to perform multiple roles within the agile cross-functional team, the Business Analyst will play a lead role in requirement analysis and algorithm evaluation. Duties related to requirement analysis include: Acquiring domain knowledge about the program and legacy system to enforce consistency on implementation strategy and solutions. Facilitating conversations with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Identifying business needs and requirements to the development team through user story creation. Completing wireframes to illustrate overarching functionality. Maintaining close communication with the Product Owner (PO) to ensure acceptance criteria of objectives are met and priorities in the backlog are in line to the product roadmap. Creating valid dependency strategies at a user story level to meet stakeholder requirements defined by the PO. Coordinating with the developers on the necessary enablers needed to support a user story during refinement sessions. Holding responsibility with the PO and Tester to ensure products are working as intended and follow specific, actionable, and measurable business rules defined by the PO. Duties related to algorithm evaluation will include: Analysis of business logic defined by end-users, existing legacy system documentation, and existing legacy software. Duties related to training: Ability to travel up to 30% (including potential for OCONUS travel). This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. We are looking for someone experienced in interfacing with client managers and delivery teams developing applications to meet DoD needs.
