About The Position

Christian Brothers Services (CBS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and serving Catholic Church ministries nationwide. The Enterprise Operations division is seeking a full-time Business Analyst – Vendor Management. This role is crucial for executing and enhancing the Enterprise Vendor Management Framework across all CBS service lines, while also contributing to broader Insights and Enterprise Operations initiatives. The Business Analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to optimize processes, reinforce governance, assess vendor performance and value, and transform complex information into actionable recommendations. This position is ideal for an analytical and organized individual who thrives on bringing structure and clarity to intricate tasks within a mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, information systems, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in vendor management, business analysis, process improvement, project coordination, operations, risk, or business intelligence.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, documenting process flows, analyzing gaps, supporting projects, and translating business needs into practical solutions.
  • Experience working with operations, Finance, Legal, IT Security, vendors, and other business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with reporting and documentation tools such as Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Experience preparing executive-level materials and facilitating discussions with technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect operational work with broader organizational priorities.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance measures, identify trends, evaluate root causes, and communicate meaningful insights.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to bring structure to evolving or ambiguous work and keep projects, priorities, and follow-up activities organized.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and curious approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and business partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and establish expectations for communication, performance measurement, governance, and ongoing reviews.
  • Partner with Relationship Owners to clarify vendor roles, expected value, monitoring requirements, and responsibilities.
  • Support vendor activities throughout the full lifecycle, including selection, requests for information or proposals, contracting, onboarding, ongoing management, and offboarding.
  • Document business requirements, workflows, process flows, decisions, dependencies, and follow-up actions.
  • Identify process gaps, handoff issues, and opportunities to improve how work is organized, governed, and completed.
  • Prepare materials for strategic and operational vendor reviews, including dashboards, surveys, spend summaries, issue logs, process documentation, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Analyze vendor, operational, and project information to identify trends, outliers, root causes, and areas requiring additional action.
  • Translate analysis into clear insights, practical recommendations, and leadership-ready materials.
  • Maintain centralized records of vendor risks, issues, escalations, process gaps, decisions, and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate with service lines, Enterprise Risk Management, IT Security, Legal, Finance, vendors, and other stakeholders to clarify issues and support timely resolution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions, document decisions, and translate business needs into clear action steps.
  • Define and maintain vendor performance measures, reporting expectations, and business requirements.
  • Partner with the Insights team and business stakeholders to develop and enhance vendor performance, spend, project, and operational reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and improve vendor governance, lifecycle management, business processes, and project execution.
  • Support documentation, communication, and change efforts related to framework updates and process improvements.
