About The Position

The Global Trade Compliance Business Analyst brings deep functional expertise across import/export operations, customs compliance, duty management, and trade regulations, combined with strong analytical and systems knowledge to ensure compliant, scalable global trade processes. Analyze and document end-to-end global trade compliance processes — including classification, valuation, country of origin, licensing, sanctions screening, import/export execution, and duty reconciliation — to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Partner with compliance, logistics, customs brokers, finance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to translate regulatory and operational needs into clear functional requirements for ERP, GTM, and trade compliance applications. Support configuration and optimization of global trade systems (e.g., tariff classification, trade agreements, bonded inventory, FTZ/IMMEX, automated filings, and audit controls) to reduce compliance risk, duty exposure, and cycle time. Develop and validate business rules, data models, KPIs, and reports related to trade accuracy, audit readiness, duty savings, and regulatory performance, while leading UAT and change activities to ensure adoption of standard, repeatable compliance processes.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience
  • MBA in supply chain management or related area
  • ERP LN / Baan Vc or other ERP and GTM experience
  • Business Assessment: Working Knowledge: Applies tools and techniques for gathering business requirements. Defines the activities, deliverables, and tools of a business assessment process. Documents best practices and techniques for assessing application opportunities. Participates in conducting and documenting business assessments. Participates in the preparation of risk assessment and benefits analysis.

  • Business Data Analysis: Extensive Experience: Sets standards for business data analysis tools and techniques, advises on their application, and ensures compliance. Provides solutions to data requirements in the business data analysis process. Directs the implementation of business data collection processes and educates junior employees on new data sources. Evaluates the quality of business data collected and the effectiveness of data analysis methods. Oversees the use of business data analysis software and troubleshoots for common errors. Suggests conclusions with results drawn from business data analysis
  • Technical Writing/Documentation: Working Knowledge: Implements technical documentation standards, guidelines and best practices. Prepares written text and layout of materials according to required outlines and specifications. Completes and maintains technical reference documents. Uses the major features, functions and facilities of an automated documentation tool. Coordinates and constantly updates system operations, installations, service manuals, and help documents.
  • Research Analysis: Extensive Experience: Interprets new findings and analyzes their validity. Advises on advanced research analysis methods. Evaluates research analysis best practices within the industry. Analyzes published research reports and their possible implications . Implements research analysis standards within the organization. Controls the quality of research analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products; Analyzing existing offerings, preparing technical documentation, and recommending upgrades.
  • Conducting market research to do a comparative analysis of competitor offerings and provide recommendations for developing a more effective product/service.
  • Identifying user/client requirements for a product or service and defining technical specifications; Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams.
  • Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance ; Participating in initiatives to improve processes efficiency and employee productivity.
