About The Position

The Wildfire Mitigation Organization is responsible for assisting the company to act decisively and transparently to prevent fires of consequence from being caused by our equipment. The organization will develop objectives to 1) prevent fires of consequence originating from our equipment; 2) meet all commitments outlined in our Wildfire Mitigation Plan; 3) continue to foster trusted relationships with key stakeholders; and 4) develop consistent processes and work standards through the implementation of the Lean Operating System for sustainable operations. Business Analysts are responsible for research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, business strategy and business operations. May also be involved in business process improvement, quality control and special projects and other initiatives. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyzes data.
  • May develop and/or maintain data models for what-if analysis and for other business purposes.
  • Develops and tracks business metrics.
  • Develops and maintains standard, custom and ad-hoc reports.
  • Develops or works with budgets and forecasts.
  • Researches best practices; develops internal and external benchmarks in support of business decisions.
  • May perform quality assurance and business process improvement activities in support of the business. Activities may include developing, managing or coordinating performance or quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.
  • Lead projects, determining scope, budget, timeframes, forming teams, assigning tasks, managing resources and issues.
  • Performs analysis on the most complex data models that have cross- functional impact.
  • Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions. Presents findings and recommendations to senior leaders to gain agreement.
  • Develops highly complex data systems that have wide ranging impact and application across multiple departments.
  • Works with senior management to support strategic planning and decision making.
  • Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Manages technology enhancements utilized by the team; Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Reporting, and SharePoint Lists.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and decision making. Develop, test, and implement AI-assisted workflows using approved enterprise tools.
