Business Analyst - Legal Analytics / Data Science

Our teams are driven, collaborative, and committed to delivering results. We are seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join our Plano, Texas-based Data Science team. The Business Analyst will support company-wide dashboarding, reporting, and data development across Operations, HR, Compliance, and other business areas. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Automation and Analytics, this is a hands-on role focused on developing Power BI dashboards, building reliable data pipelines, and improving the quality and availability of reporting data. The Analyst will work with business teams to understand reporting needs and create practical solutions that support better decision-making.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, analytics, or data-related roles.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX
- Working knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data transformation
- Working knowledge of Excel, Power Query, pivot tables, and VBA
- Experience using reporting and data tools to solve operational problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
- Experience preparing and integrating data from multiple systems.
- Experience building ETL pipelines and automated reporting processes.
- Experience with SQL Server, FileMaker, or similar data systems.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Develop and support data pipelines used for dashboarding and reporting.
- Clean, validate, and transform data from multiple systems.
- Work with business teams to gather requirements and improve reporting.
- Create Excel tools and templates when needed to support business processes.
- Document data sources, report logic, business rules, and user instructions.
- Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and user training.
