About The Position

The Business Analyst II is responsible for translating basic business needs into application software requirements. This role analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs, determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs, and works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing. The Business Analyst II also acts as a liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues, ensures EVV encounters are accepted by the state, leading to appropriate risk coding and rate assumptions, and helps maintain EVV protocols. Additionally, this role supports the Ops Director in completing contractually-required reports to the state regulator, works with enrollment and billing to monitor member share, partners with claims and LTSS providers to resolve claim processing issues and support payment within contractually required timelines, and supports LTSS coding and pricing for Family Care by collaborating with benefits, pricing, and encounters to help ensure successful contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including the ability to analyze trends, develop reporting, and communicate insights to business partners, is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
