About The Position

The Business Analyst II provides programmatic, operational, and analytical support in a federal government environment. The position analyzes business processes, operational data, and stakeholder requirements to identify improvements, support informed decision-making, and enhance program efficiency and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Public Administration, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, program analysis, operations, process improvement, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience developing reports and presentations.
  • Experience analyzing workflows, requirements, and operational data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal government, HHS, CDC, or public-sector programs.
  • Experience with systems such as Concur, TASNet, IFMS, STARS, ICE, MACCS, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, dashboards, Power BI, or project management.
  • Experience developing SOPs, training materials, and business-process documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes, workflows, requirements, and operational data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, Excel analyses, presentations, briefings, and other management-support products.
  • Monitor performance metrics, processing timelines, accuracy, workload, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Analyze travel, financial, personnel, procurement, training, and programmatic activities and identify discrepancies or issues requiring action.
  • Gather and document business requirements and support process and workflow improvements.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process maps, job aids, training materials, and other knowledge-management resources.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities and serve as a liaison among program, administrative, financial, HR, travel, procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Support special projects, program initiatives, conferences, onboarding, training, and other operational activities.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Provide timely responses to complex stakeholder inquiries and support leadership with ad hoc analysis and decision-making.
  • Maintain data accuracy, documentation, and confidentiality, including appropriate handling of PII.
