About The Position

PrizePicks is seeking a data-driven analyst to join their Fraud Analytics team. This role involves partnering cross-functionally with Fraud Operations, Product, and Analytics to leverage data for identifying fraud trends, quantifying risk, and shaping strategies that protect players and the platform while maintaining a frictionless experience for legitimate users. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with high-volume transactional data, translating findings into actionable recommendations, and directly influencing fraud prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in risk analytics, fraud detection, or a related data-focused field, preferably within online gaming, Daily Fantasy Sports, or fintech.
  • Working understanding of common fraud vectors in an online transactional environment (payment fraud, identity fraud, bonus abuse, etc.) and their impact on user experience.
  • Advanced SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Judgment to balance fraud risk against player experience.
  • Organized, reliable, curious, and growth-oriented team player.
  • Demonstrated ability with data-driven critical thinking, problem-solving, and recommendations.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Python experience (automation, modeling, or statistical analysis).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver analytical work that protects the platform and improves the experience for legitimate players.
  • Build, document, and maintain insightful dashboards and reusable analyses to monitor fraud performance and key risk indicators.
  • Distill complex datasets into clear recommendations with visualizations and talking points for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Engineering, Fraud Ops, and Product to identify and address data, performance, and process gaps.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to support fraud-related business decisions with data-driven insights.
  • Scope and complete ad-hoc data requests related to fraud trends and product initiatives.
