The Business Analyst I position performs analysis, troubleshooting, process investigation, and other relevant tasks to support the Bankruptcy teams. This position reports to the Senior Director of Bankruptcy Analytics. Roles & Responsibilities: Support well-defined analytical projects designed to enhance business processes and create value throughout the department. Develop and maintain strategic and operational reporting at the request of senior leaders and external clients. Perform routine and ad hoc analytical tasks to support larger-scale business initiatives. Develop an understanding of key tables and field definitions in the data warehouse; know how these fields are used in existing reporting, and be consistently able to create accurate queries. Partner with senior analysts both inside and outside of the department to articulate more complex data needs that cannot be met through existing reporting or SQL queries. Delve into business line reporting and data cubes to obtain data, identify trends, recognize anomalies, and inform decisions. Interpret data while building intuition around data requirements, aggregation, and organization. Develop oral and written communication skills by soliciting feedback on project presentations from analyst team and senior leaders. Communicate requirements with Business Intelligence and Business Solutions teams when an IT solution is needed. Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of existing business processes, operational metrics, and the current regulatory environment. Participate in team discussions designed to generate creative ideas to create value through analytical initiatives. Obtain Results-driven Process Management (RPM) certification as soon as possible upon hiring.
