Business Analysts are responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business by assessing and improving the organization's processes and systems by analyzing data and identifying improvement opportunities. This includes eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business, policy, technical, and functional requirements. They develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process documentation, and requirements traceability. Business Analysts collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams throughout discovery, design reviews, and project delivery activities. They support backlog refinement, prioritization, and management activities to align solution delivery with business objectives and stakeholder needs. They guide teams in the application of Agile principles and practices throughout project delivery, fostering an Agile mindset through team planning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. They also support Scrum ceremonies, stakeholder engagement, and coordination across project teams. Analyzing business processes, business metrics, and related data to identify issues, gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement and automation is a key responsibility. Additionally, they support system testing, user acceptance testing, and data validation activities, and maintain system documentation, project documentation, and project metrics. They assist in the development and execution of IT strategies that support business goals and assure adherence to project processes, format, and documentation standards.
