About the Role As a Business Analyst - Systems Replatforming & Documentation, you will play a critical role in an engineering initiative to document and migrate existing backend projects to our next-generation platform. In this role, you will be the bridge between internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and our product and engineering teams. You will be responsible for unearthing, structuring, and documenting manual operational workflows from scratch. You won't just transcribe how things work today. A key part of the role is distinguishing the core business intent behind each workflow from the legacy implementation that happens to deliver it, so the documentation describes what the system must achieve, not just how the old system did it.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Systems Analyst.
• Experience working on large-scale software replatforming, data migration, or system integration projects is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical outputs into client-friendly insights.
• Hands-on experience documenting workflows, rules, or requirements in Jira/Confluence (or similar tools).
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail when reviewing outputs.
• Experience working with AI/ML-driven products or complex automation systems is a plus.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily demo and interview sessions with internal stakeholders and SMEs to extract product logic and workflows.
• Document system requirements, business rules, and technical specifications for individual modules.
• Translate input from SMEs into clean, structured, and actionable tasks for the development and QA teams.
• Frame documentation so requirements are architecture-agnostic- usable by product and engineering to design the modern solution, not a spec to rebuild the legacy system.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams and use internal AI/workflow automation tools to accelerate the ingestion of documentation.
• Track documentation progress, edge cases, and compliance rules within Jira and Confluence to ensure engineering alignment.
