About The Position

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Dealer Operations team. The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business problems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into clear requirements and solution recommendations. This role serves as a key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring stakeholder needs are understood, documented, and effectively incorporated into project and operational solutions. Reporting to an Associate Manager or higher, the Business Analyst works independently on complex initiatives, leveraging business, operational, and systems knowledge to support solution design, process improvements, and project delivery. The role collaborates with stakeholders across business and technology teams to facilitate requirements gathering, support testing and implementation activities, and help ensure solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value. This position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports organizational change efforts, and provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members. Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in one of the following office locations: Toronto or London.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in business analysis, business operations, systems analysis, project delivery, or a related field.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex business challenges and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting project planning, implementation, testing, and change management activities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, business needs, and organizational objectives.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset and a passion for improving business processes and user experiences.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Active pursuit, interest in pursuing, or completion of relevant certifications such as Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or Prosci Change Management is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of insurance, financial services, or related industry practices is considered an asset.
  • Professional designations such as CEBS, LOMA, CDMP, or other business analysis-related certifications are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, workshops, process reviews, and solution discussions.
  • Elicit, document, validate, and manage business requirements to ensure a common understanding of business needs, objectives, and expected outcomes.
  • Analyze business problems, processes, and operational challenges to identify opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and technology partners to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and incorporated into solution design and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements documents, process maps, business rules, functional specifications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and scoping activities while identifying risks, issues, dependencies, and impacts.
  • Provide ongoing project support by monitoring progress, communicating status updates, and assisting with issue resolution.
  • Support quality assurance activities, including reviewing test strategies, developing acceptance criteria, participating in user acceptance testing, and validating that solutions meet business requirements.
  • Assist with implementation activities, including change management planning, stakeholder communications, training development, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, process improvements, and technology initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, frameworks, tools, and business analysis practices.
  • Share knowledge, provide subject matter expertise, and support the development of team members through mentoring and collaboration.
