About The Position

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or other discipline pertinent to business analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Considerable experience documenting user requirements, user stories, story maps, and corresponding acceptance criteria.
Considerable experience in an Agile context (e.g. Scrum or Kanban) conducting business analysis including business process reviews, business process modelling, business process reengineering, and determining solution options for technology projects and operations.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively, including experience with stakeholder management, facilitation skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus building.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, set clear directions and design terms of reference and work processes.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of business and processes for childcare services would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead technology-enabled business transformation initiatives partnering closely with business stakeholders and Agile solution delivery teams.
Lead and participate in requirements discovery and backlog refinement sessions, creating user stories & acceptance tests and create a vision of the solution to be incrementally delivered by the team.
Take on a role similar to a product owner in one of our cross-functional teams, utilizing Agile methodologies to manage product and sprint backlogs, create team boards and record and track performance metrics.
Recommend solutions supported by clear documentation that achieve a high degree of client satisfaction and continually explore and assess options for creating additional value for the users
Collaborates with product teams to decompose large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood by business leads and developers.
Partner closely with business stakeholders and Agile solution delivery teams to manage and track assigned work on agile team using sprint backlogs, user stories and team boards.
Provide analysis support for technology operations including incident and service request management, problem management, support for system deployments or for other related technology needs
Documents and analyzes business processes, system requirements, screens and report layouts, input costs and output levels, and conducts data flow analysis and business process modeling.
Conducts Business Process Reviews and makes recommendations to Senior Management, including process optimization and simplifications that could lead to changes in staffing levels.
Conducts analysis to measure the effectiveness of technology solutions and service delivery methods and processes.
Evaluates and makes recommendations on the effectiveness of alternative methods of delivering support services.
Designs and modifies business processes and information technology solutions for the delivery of services and tracking the cost and effectiveness of service delivery.
Develops and manages Quality Assurance strategies, plans and scripts, executes and documents tests of technology solutions and business processes.
Manages divisional projects, leading teams of developers, testers and business resources.
Manages and provides work direction to work teams associated with projects.
Negotiates with stakeholders on project scope, timelines and overall deliverables.
Prepares reports to senior management and General Manager, supporting recommendations on changes in technology solutions, business methods and business processes including appropriate staffing levels, and resource allocation.
Prepares, or contributes to technology solution artifacts including product visions, user stories, and supplementary specifications including screen mock-ups, report mock-ups and business rules.
Conducts studies on the feasibility of integrating technology and processes to deliver a range of support services to a specific client or to a geographic location.
Supports development of business plans, project plans, and work breakdowns.
Prepares business cases, project charters and project plans.
Prepares Requirements, Statements of Work and Coordinates the issuing of RFP's, RFQ's and RFR's.
Conducts Usability Studies, Heuristic Evaluations, Leads Focus Groups and Conducts User Interviews.
Designs and creates communications using various mediums such as websites and web content, multimedia, social media, printed material, bulletins, presentations, and training material.
Creates training videos, presentations and supporting documents, Tips and Techniques for intranet publication.
Conducts instructional classes and presentations focused on new and changing systems.
