About The Position

As an early pioneer in Banking as a Service (BaaS), Q2 is the platform behind many leading fintech companies. We are looking for a Business Analyst – Card Processing to manage the product lifecycle for key products and help define the BaaS ecosystem of the future. This role is crucial for managing the product delivery pipeline for Card Processing, focusing on product functionality developed with third-party partners. The Business Analyst will identify client and bank needs, scope efforts, create documentation, set product delivery goals, and contribute to the product roadmap. This position acts as a central point of contact, connecting different parts of the BaaS team to launch new products and enhance existing ones.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Well versed in process management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex rollouts with multiple stakeholders – has launched products at scale.
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results with minimal assistance is a must.
  • Experience contributing in an Agile development environment.
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Experience partnering with and understanding technology development.

Responsibilities

  • Define, organize, and execute on a product delivery pipeline for Card Processing.
  • Focus on product functionality developed with third-party partners.
  • Uncover client and bank needs.
  • Accurately scope effort.
  • Create robust documentation.
  • Develop product delivery goals.
  • Actively contribute to the product roadmap for the functional area.
  • Work with Product leadership to develop and effectively prioritize the product backlog.
  • Partner with clients, development, operations, external partners, and cross-functional leaders to identify, build, and measure features and functionality that meet business goals.
  • Manage the product implementation side of key third-party relationships for card processing, fraud management, and other critical features.
  • Define product functionality and write detailed User Stories/Epics with empathy for the end user.
  • Provide scope for a release and define release timing and strategy.
  • Work with the team to define each sprint plan, review completed work, and accept/reject results.
  • Apply Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined software development process.
  • Create product documentation for developers, clients, and banks.
  • Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams and clients.
