About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to drive Artificial Intelligence Governance Consumer and Business Lending. This role demonstrates executive leadership by identifying and mitigating complex risks, establishing a robust Responsible AI framework, and leading governance forums that oversee AI and generative AI controls. The position partners across functions to solve critical business challenges, enhance risk management routines, and implement scalable solutions that strengthen operational excellence. In this role, you will: Demonstrate executive leadership, expertise, and consulting on Model Risk identification, creating risk mitigation solutions and oversee the execution of risk management routines. Establish Responsible AI Framework and lead governance forum and controls governing AI and generative AI across CBL Identify, assess, and help implement solutions for critical and complex business challenges to mitigate risk Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by overseeing strategy and execution of all activities Establish and lead team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues related to higher risk deliverables; interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to high complexity and risk Ensure adherence to all applicable policies, procedures, and control requirements Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in business group Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Requirements

  • 10+ years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cross-functional team collaboration in Financial Services with an emphasis in Consumer Lending or Personal Loans
  • Extensive knowledge of model risk management and model validation
  • Thorough knowledge of the quantitative and qualitative risk factors, industry risks and competitive risks
  • Extensive experience with the design and implementation of governance for new programs
  • Experience in operational excellence and continuous process improvement
  • Experience in driving change at large organizations
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with a proven ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, as well as across various management levels within the organization.
  • Extensive experience in standards and controls including ensuring effective design, assessment, monitoring and self-assurance activities.
  • Expertise in leading and managing transformation efforts and demonstrated ability to lead the execution of large and complex initiatives
  • Ability to think strategically and pivot between multiple priorities with a focus on work product/outcomes
  • Experienced in building and leading high-performing teams and proven experience in developing talent
