About The Position

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is partnering with the Peninsula Youth Collaborative to offer a unique transportation program for local youth. This initiative provides transportation to and from Busch Gardens for scheduled shifts, departing from a central meeting location in Newport News, Virginia. The program is designed for young individuals who are eager to work but face challenges with reliable transportation. Job opportunities within this program include Food & Beverage Ambassador or Ride Operator. Participation is limited and requires an interview. Current Busch Gardens and Water Country USA employees are not eligible. An interview event is scheduled for August 29, 2026, at the Veterans Employment Center in Newport News, VA.

Requirements

• At least 16 years old.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to walk and stand extensively.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around water and animals.
• Must attend the interview event on August 29, 2026.
• Must be eligible for the transportation program.

Nice To Haves

• Previous guest service experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service.
• Operate as a Food & Beverage Ambassador or Ride Operator.

• Train on and properly use protective gear.
