About The Position

To keep all Ector County ISD vehicles clean. Drive a school bus route as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess or obtain a class B CDL with “P” & “S” endorsements.
• Have or be eligible for state certification as a school bus driver.
• Knowledge of steam cleaning equipment, vehicle/bus wash machine.
• Previous experience with vehicle washing equipment preferred.
• Must work on slippery/uneven surfaces.
• Work with cleaning solvents, as well as body fluids when the situation presents itself.
• Must be able to handle extreme weather conditions.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of school buses and all district vehicles.
• Maintain bus wash machine throughout the year in a safe and efficient manner.
• Wash all trip buses as needed.
• Follow a bus wash schedule for all route buses.
• Use machinery with moving parts.
• Must sweep, mop, and use a hand brush for scrubbing as necessary.
• Must wash exterior, interior, and clean windows of buses and ECISD vehicles.
• Must perform all other duties assigned by the Transportation Operations Manager.
• Manage students while driving a bus.
