About The Position

The Bus Wash Supervisor is part of the crucial support operations for the transportation department. This position is a very fast paced and physical position whose staff members are wholly responsible for the cleanliness of the interior and the exterior of the bus. About Denali National Park & Preserve and Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture: Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road—4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks. Doyon Limited and Aramark have teamed up in a Joint Venture as the Denali National Park & Preserve's Concessionaire. Open May to September, our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; The National Park Service. By road, our 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet takes guests past the 15-mile public access point daily during summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp where few people have set foot. This is a seasonal role with ideal dates of May 7 – September 19, 2026. We offer competitive wages, paid Holidays, Sick Pay and Benefits Stipend. Requirements

  • Previous custodial experience required
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or related role preferred
  • Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
  • Adaptable to guest needs

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
  • Facilitate direction of other bus washers to operate as a coordinated team
  • Accurately maintains and cleans equipment
  • Sustain steady physical work within scheduled breaks
  • Works outside, exposed to elements of the weather
  • Works with a variety of hand tools and electric equipment (e.g. power/pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, etc.) associated with washing vehicles and general facilities maintenance
  • Works variable work schedules, ranging from very early morning to late evening.
  • Maintain bus wash bays and fueling station
  • Perform general labor tasks associated with general, preventative maintenance of transportation indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Remove of silt from the drains and place in the dumpster
  • Fueling of buses within guidelines established for safety
  • Responsible for knowing the environmental aspects and associated impacts of their job position.
  • Environmental objectives and targets will be communicated by dept. managers for each dept. during EMS training
  • Must be detailed and able to work with minimal direction
  • Responsible for loading up to 1500 box lunches per day
  • Employee responsible for accurate receiving
  • Cleaning out box lunch recycle shed
  • Know and follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy
  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for making sure that all buses are always moved and parked safely with a spotter.
