About The Position

We are looking for a Supervisor to help lead our Transportation Logistics team. This team is responsible for taking manifests from tour companies and building busses for tours. The transportation logistics team will also function as the in-park call center, taking reservations for tours. Customer service and troubleshooting will be a significant part of the position. About Denali National Park & Preserve and Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture: Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road—4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks. Doyon Limited and Aramark have teamed up in a Joint Venture as the Denali National Park & Preserve's Concessionaire. Open May to September, our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; The National Park Service. By road, Our 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet takes guests past the 15-mile public access point daily during summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp where few people have set foot. Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must have attention to detail.
Must also be able to multi-task when required.
Strong ability to effectively execute MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel programs.
Ability to utilize in-house computer system, SMS (Springer Miller System).

Nice To Haves

Previous experience and/or desire to work in tourism industry preferable.

Responsibilities

Develop knowledge of SMS reservation system and take reservations over the phone.
Distributing manifests and schedules to the respective tour companies.
Creating tour schedules based upon the bus tours that have been built.
Complete other tasks as assigned by other Department Managers.
Employee is responsible for general knowledge of corporate environmental policies and procedures and how they relate to their job functions.
Employee is responsible for knowing the environmental aspects and associated impacts of their job position. Job specific Environmental Aspects and Impacts will be communicated by Dept. Managers during EMS training. Environmental objectives and targets will be communicated by dept. managers for each dept. during EMS training.
Employee will be aware of environmental objectives and targets within their department and how the objectives and targets affect their job performance.
