About The Position

Now Hiring: Bus Tire Service Technician in Forth Worth, TX at Trinity Metro! Join a Team That Keeps the City Moving Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and be part of something big? We’re looking for hands-on, mechanically minded individuals to become Bus Tire Service Technicians — essential players in keeping our city’s transit fleet running safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll get hands-on with some of the biggest tires in the business. Your work will directly support public safety and keep the transit buses ready. This position will perform tire maintenance and service on transit bus vehicles. This position requires a structured shift schedule, as assigned by the location based on shift availability.

Requirements

  • Frequent bending, lifting, and moving tires over 50 pounds (and pushing with over 100 lbs. of force).
  • Exposure to heat in summer, cold in winter, and common cleaning or lubrication chemicals.
  • Comfortable working with tools and machines in a shop environment.
  • Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, vibrations.

Earn TIA Level 2 Certification within 2 weeks of hire. Complete TIA Level 3 Certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Mount, balance, rotate, and repair large transit bus tires.
  • Maintain tire equipment and tools — we count on you to keep things running smoothly.
  • Load and unload tires and related materials.
  • Keeping the work area clean and hazard-free — safety is always first.
  • Participate in team meetings and stay up to date on procedures.
  • Complete documentation and service logs accurately and on time.
  • Use personal protective equipment and follow all safety protocols.
  • Tackle other tasks as needed — there’s always something to learn.
