WSP is excited to be offering a position with our National Bus Rapid Transit Team, which specializes in the planning and design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects locally and across the nation. WSP is currently initiating a search for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Engineers for our South Florida, Washington D.C., and Boston, MA offices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline (roadway, site design, traffic engineer).
• P.E. License with 7 to 15 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.
• Experience working with transit agencies and department of transportations.
• Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.
• The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
• Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.

Responsibilities

• Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
• Provide technical support and Project Management on projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
• Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
• Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
• Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
• Management of technical staff.
