About The Position
Under close supervision, monitor the conduct of students between pick-up points and school, maintain order, and adhere to safety rules and aide with transportation of students with special needs.
Requirements
- Skill in working with students with special needs.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and school system policies and procedures.
- Ability to gain respect and cooperation of students, parents, administrative officials and others.
- Ability to maintain discipline.
- Ability to attend training in the procedures of working with students with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitors the conduct of students between pick-up points and school.
- Aids the students with special needs upon entering and exiting the school bus.
- Reports all discipline problems to the school bus driver.
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
