About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Operations and Transportation team as a Bus Monitor. This part-time position involves ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to manage students in a positive and supportive manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Must pass a background check and any required training certifications.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
• Physical ability to assist students and perform necessary tasks related to the position.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students while boarding, riding, and disembarking from the bus to ensure their safety.
• Maintain order and discipline among students during transit.
• Assist students with special needs, ensuring they receive the necessary support.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and transportation staff regarding any issues or concerns.
• Conduct regular checks of the bus to ensure it is clean and free of hazards.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate authorities.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the transportation department.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
