About The Position

Excel Academy is hiring a Bus Monitor to support the safe and orderly transportation of students to and from school. This role ensures that students follow bus safety rules, assists with boarding and exiting, and provides additional support to students with special needs or behavioral challenges. The Bus Monitor will communicate regularly with school staff regarding student safety and support needs. This Monitor will also provide feedback and redirection to students on the bus to ensure they meet safety expectations.

Requirements

• Sense of responsibility for the safety of students
• Communicate well with others and ability to enforce rules calmly
• Successful results of Criminal Offender Record Information check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with children is highly preferred
• Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required
• Members of the community (i.e. Parents) strongly encouraged to apply
