The Bus Monitor will ride buses and help the driver ensure the safe and orderly transportation of students with disabilities. This role requires the ability to follow verbal instructions, communicate effectively, operate safety and adaptive equipment, and work well with children with disabilities. The Bus Monitor will be responsible for lifting and carrying students, supervising them as they board and leave the bus, managing student behavior, communicating with teachers and parents, learning and adapting to each student's special needs, and assisting the driver with routes and bus cleanliness. The role also involves following emergency procedures and operating equipment safely.
