About The Position

Our Clarke Power team is currently looking for an experienced Bus Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the Technician will perform bus repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Transit Authority Experience preferred
• One year certificate from college or technical school, with related repair experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CDL or ability to acquire CDL
• ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs PMIs on diesel-powered buses
• Perform all types of brake, steering & suspension, electrical, and A/C, & minor engine repairs.
• Experience working on Prevost, MCI, Van Hool Equipment and/or motorhomes and entertainment coaches
• Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
• Assist other technicians when needed.
• Work in the shop, as needed
• Must be able to work independently.
