The Business Intelligence Analyst I/II role involves gathering and analyzing user requirements to create complex reports and dashboards using enterprise data systems. This position will also participate in technical code reviews, manage change requests for reporting systems, and adhere to documentation standards. The analyst will translate business questions into data solutions and utilize the CCHMC information glossary for governed definitions. Additionally, the role includes providing end-user training, creating educational materials, and performing ad hoc analysis for hospital departments. Continuous professional development, including maintaining Epic certifications and improving communication skills, is expected. The role also involves planning and executing testing, managing assigned tasks, communicating status effectively, and identifying issues with potential solutions. For simpler projects, the analyst may serve as the project manager. The role requires analyzing BI requests to align with existing tools and processes, organizing and completing tasks, troubleshooting BI solutions, developing support plans, and escalating unresolved issues. Coordination and communication between internal and external parties are essential, as is personal accountability for commitments. The analyst will also work with cross-functional teams to identify build deficiencies based on customer reporting requests.
