About The Position

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) Bus Driver position for the Hazel Park School District, serving morning and afternoon routes. The role involves the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school and other related events or activities. The position follows the A.F.S.C.M.E. Master Agreement and reports to the Transportation Supervisor. Requirements

Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
Must pass pre-employment background checks and annual physical exam without restrictions per Michigan transportation rules and regulations and Federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing per district policy
Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license
High level of competence in English language skills
Ability to work and maintain good rapport with co-workers and the community
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Possess a good attendance record
Must have an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

Prefer applicant to have a current CDL-BPS Certification, however, willing to train
Such alternatives to the above qualifications, as may be found appropriate and acceptable
