About The Position

This position is responsible for driving a Salvation Army bus to transport passengers to and from various Salvation Army activities, including children for afternoon activities and groups for summer camp.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Two years experience operating a bus.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to drive a bus or other vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
Ability to spend the night away from home due to extended trips.

Responsibilities

Drives a Salvation Army bus in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities.
Provides transportation for children to and from afternoon activities.
Provides transportation for groups for summer camp.
Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.
Fuels bus in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
Drives Salvation Army vehicle(s) to deliver and collect kettles and supplies to kettle locations and workers.
