About The Position

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is looking for a dependable bus driver for their Before and Afterschool Program. The ideal candidate will have open availability and be flexible with their schedule. Traditional hours are 7:00am-9:00am OR Afterschool: 2:00-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Some Nights and Weekends may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current CDL (required)
• Pass a CDL Road test (required)
• Pass a NC criminal record check/background check
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoys people
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen administration or obtain certification within 60 days of hire
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling
• Other YMCA-required training and certifications, as applicable

Responsibilities

• Drive a bus for the Before and Afterschool Program.
• Ensure safety first.
• Be available for Out of School Days (Days when school is closed and we have full day care at the Branch).
