Bus Driver

About The Position
Provide bus transportation for YMCA childcare and teen programs. Though used primarily for camps seasonally, this position can also be year-round depending on branch programs and needs.
Requirements
- 3 years of bus driving experience required
- Must be 21 years of age
- CDL driver’s license with passenger and school bus endorsements required
- Submit medical clearances to supervisor to maintain CDL credentials
- Annual completion of online defensive driving required
- Good driving record required (Checked annually)
- Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of bus driving experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and check the safety and operational effectiveness of the vehicle.
- Report any safety concerns to supervisor immediately.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working order and that all required maintenance has been performed.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is appropriately fueled.
- Maintain trip schedule for children as defined by staff.
- Drives YMCA vehicles according to YMCA policies, procedures and state laws.
