About The Position

Bayside Transportation is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Bus Driver. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers to their destinations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and a strong understanding of safety regulations.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a passenger transport setting.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical ability to assist passengers and perform necessary bus maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate a bus safely and efficiently on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the journey.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Monitor and manage passenger behavior, addressing any issues that may arise during transit.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with disabilities.
Provide information to passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any delays.
Report any mechanical issues or incidents to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and company policies.
