The Bus Driver is responsible for transporting and supervising residents on outings, shopping trips, and doctor’s visits. This role also involves assisting residents in the dining room and with Activities of Daily Living when needed. The Bus Driver must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. They must also be able to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. The role requires the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, as well as perform operations using American money, weight, volume, and distance measurements. The Bus Driver must apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
