Bus Driver, Part-time
About The Position
Westminster Christian Academy is currently seeking a part-time Bus Driver to join our Facilities team. Founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, Westminster Christian Academy provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 970 students in grades 7 through 12. The school is located in suburban St. Louis County, Missouri, on a 70-acre campus, 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life. The Bus Driver position is a part-time role; approximately 10-15 scheduled hours per week. During the school year, bus drivers work between the hours of 2:30 and 10:00 p.m. The need for bus drivers varies daily based upon after school activities. Starting pay rate is $25.00/hour.
Requirements
- A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
- Membership or faithful church attendance
- Minimum Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
Responsibilities
- Transports students to and from various locations throughout the St. Louis area for after school activities
- Monitor and ensure the safety of students
- Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route and report deficiencies to the Director of Facilities
