About The Position

Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS) is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to operate our daily Woodland Park route before and after school. The ideal candidate will prioritize student safety and security, adhere to all traffic laws, and maintain a positive environment on the bus that reflects CSCS values. This role offers the opportunity for additional hours driving for student athletics and field trips. The driver must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with school personnel regarding discipline and bus maintenance needs. A commitment to CSCS's mission, values, and doctrinal statement is essential.

Requirements

Evidence of spiritual maturity and a Christian servant’s heart.
Current CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL (CSCS may assist with costs).
Current First Aid / CPR certification or ability to obtain certification.
Ability to communicate bus maintenance needs timely.
Ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Must be able to work independently.
Must affirm, in writing, commitment to the Doctrinal Statement annually by contract.

Nice To Haves

Preferred flexibility to also assist with field trips and athletic events as needed.
2+ years working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

Driving a CSCS bus for the daily Woodland Park route before and after school.
Placing the safety and security of students as the highest priority.
Obeying all traffic laws.
Driving for student athletics and field trips (opportunity for additional hours).
Establishing and maintaining a bus environment that reflects the values of CSCS.
Disciplining appropriately and communicating discipline issues with school personnel.
Committing to and fully supporting the missional and organizational standards, including Core Values, Mission Statement, Doctrinal Statement, and Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs.
