About The Position
Developmental Services Center (DSC) provides comprehensive services across the lifespan-from birth through adulthood-including family development, case management, employment, residential, respite, and community day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford Counties. Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Minimum of two years bus driving experience.
Nice To Haves
- Hold a CDL “B” driver’s license with passenger endorsement
Responsibilities
- The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of DSC riders on an assigned route to and from their designated destinations.
- Assist as necessary all clients entering or exiting the bus and ensure all seat belts are buckled prior to putting the vehicle into motion.
Benefits
- $17.50 per hour to start; $19.50 per hour for Class B CDL holder
- Grant-funded retention bonuses - up to 2 payments for a maximum of $1,600 per fiscal year! (depending on when in the grant year you are hired)
