About The Position

The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for a hiring roster for Bus Driver with JeffTran. This roster shall function as a compilation of interested applicants who want to become a part of the JeffTran team when vacancies in the department arise. Requirements

Excellent customer service skills
Outstanding dependability
Ability to accurately and thoroughly complete paperwork
Ability to work safely
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Ability to aid disabled passengers
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess, or obtain within two weeks of hire, a valid Missouri Commercial Driver License (CDL) of the appropriate class with all required endorsements for the vehicles to be operated

Completed training in Defensive Driving
Completed training in Passenger Relations
Completed training in Emergency and Accident Response
Completed training in Emergency Evacuation Procedures
Completed training in Passenger Assistance Techniques
Completed training in other related transportation safety programs

Responsibilities

Provide safe, courteous, on-time bus transportation and customer service on assigned city routes and/or para-transit service
Perform pre-trip safety inspections
Provide assistance to persons with disabilities when necessary
