About The Position

Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of St. Paul’s PACE participants. This includes the transport of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. The driver is also responsible for the overall cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle on a daily basis and for communicating any safety issues to the Transportation Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid California Drivers License - Class B.
• Capable of and experienced in transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
• Training or related experience in the assigned job.
• Able to read and understand maps and routing information to navigate within the San Diego area.
• Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, caregivers, and co-workers.
• Proficient in identifying and recommending problem resolution.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
