About The Position

Dawson School, a K-12 independent school located east of Boulder, is seeking qualified Bus Drivers for the 2026–27 school year. This is a temporary, part-time position available on an ongoing basis, effective August 1, 2026. Requirements

Possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Possess, or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, a Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Ability to pass all required background checks.
Basic computer proficiency, including use of email, calendar tools, and internet navigation.
Genuine enthusiasm for working with students, colleagues, and all members of the school community.
Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Drive a school bus to transport students, athletic teams, and staff to and from school, athletic events, and other school-related activities.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transport.
Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus interior.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and other stakeholders.
Respond to emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
Assist with basic computer proficiency, including use of email, calendar tools, and internet navigation.
