About The Position
The bus driver provides a safe, reliable transportation service for residents of the site. During days when there are minimal drives, the assistant will help facilitate and lead events or programs for seniors, working cooperatively with volunteers to support resident programming.
Requirements
- Excellent driving record.
- Current driver’s license.
- Compliance with DOT requirements including drug testing.
- Experience working with seniors.
- CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to complete.
- Ability to plan routes for outing destinations.
- Ability to maintain bus systems prior to all excursions.
- Ability to maintain CPR/ First Aid certifications.
- Ability to understand and adhere to DOT alcohol and controlled substances policy including pre-employment and random drug testing producing negative results.
- Ability to abide by all Colorado traffic laws and practice safe and defensive driving techniques at all times.
- Ability to maintain the bus interior and exterior.
- Ability to report maintenance in a timely manner.
- Ability to lead small, large, and one on one activity programs with seniors.
- Ability to work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid certification if not already certified.
Responsibilities

- Maintain the bus interior and exterior and report maintenance in a timely manner.
