About The Position

Petaluma City Schools is hiring a Bus Driver II for its Transportation department. The schedule is Monday through Friday for 6.5 hours per day. Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. each weekday, plus 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A valid School Bus Certificate is required. Applicants must include a current DMV H-6 report and provide an air brake and passenger endorsement, commercial license, first aid certification, and school bus driver certificate. Spanish bilingual ability is preferred but not required. Successful bilingual or American Sign Language applicants receive a $96 monthly stipend, prorated for positions under 40 hours per week. Fingerprint clearance is required, with the processing fee payable by the employee after an offer and before placement. Applicants must provide evidence of being free from tuberculosis in accordance with Education Code 49406. Employment is contingent on passing a post-offer, pre-placement physical and receiving DMV driver record clearance.

Requirements

Must have a valid School Bus Certificate.
A current DMV H-6 report is required with the application.
