About The Position

Academy Bus has opportunities available for Local MTA Commuter Service, Charter Bus Driver, and Class A Diesel Mechanic positions out of our Baltimore, MD location. Walk-in interviews are being held from October 6th-October 8th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at 201 Frankfurst Ave. Baltimore, MD, 21225. A sign-on bonus is available for full-time drivers and mechanics. A CDL with passenger endorsement and airbrake endorsement is required for driver opportunities.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Social Security Card
DOT & Medical Certification Card (if applicable)
CDL with passenger endorsement and airbrake endorsement (for driver opportunities)
7+ years of diesel engine maintenance (for Diesel Mechanic)
Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment (for Diesel Mechanic)
Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instruments (for Diesel Mechanic)
Must have own tools according to level (for Diesel Mechanic)
Basic computer skills (for Diesel Mechanic)
Subject to a DOT drug screen and pre-employment background check

Nice To Haves

Local fixed route/line runs or out of state & overnight charter driver experience
CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement (for Diesel Mechanic)
Willingness to obtain a CDL License (for Diesel Mechanic)
