About The Position

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable part-time Bus Driver and After Care Teacher for its Clarkston team. This role involves providing a safe and welcoming classroom environment for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade after their elementary school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, fosters positive relationships, and creates fun, enriching experiences that encourage learning, creativity, and social development during after-school hours. This is a great opportunity for a retired teacher looking to stay active.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Have reliable transportation and be punctual.
Valid driver’s license with chauffer’s endorsement required to drive the 14-passenger bus (highly desired and company reimburses cost).
Background check (fingerprinting required).
CPR/First Aid certification (can be completed within 30 days of hire).

Nice To Haves

Prior elementary teaching experience a plus.
Retired teacher who wants to stay busy.

Responsibilities

Provides a safe welcoming classroom for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Drives a 14-passenger bus.
Communicates openly with both parents and staff.
Provides active supervision at all times.
Plans indoor and outdoor activities.
Helps children with homework assignments, conflict resolution, and other classroom interactions.
Feeds children their afternoon snack.
Builds respectful relationships in the classroom.
Complies with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures.
