Bus Aide
About The Position
As a Bus Aide, you'll ensure safe transportation by: Assisting with daily pick-up and delivery of children on bus routes Providing developmentally appropriate transportation experiences for young children Ensuring all children are safe during boarding, riding, and exiting Maintaining clean and sanitary bus interior environment Supporting children with disabilities during transportation Building positive relationships with children and families Participating in required training and professional development. Requirements
- Minimum 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Complete Intro to Childcare within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric CPR within 6 months
- Dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual acuity to lift and/or restrain children of varying sizes
- Cultural sensitivity
- Ability to address needs of children with disabilities
- Experience working with low-income, multicultural families
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong desired
