Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial gas/oil burner service experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial boiler and burner systems
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical controls and combustion systems
  • Familiarity with hydronic and steam heating systems
  • Valid Gas/Oil Burner Technician license/certification (where required)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a plus
  • Experience with emissions testing and combustion analysis preferred
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • Trade school or apprenticeship training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial gas/oil burners and boiler systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Conduct combustion analysis and optimize burner performance
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
  • Replace and calibrate pumps, motors, nozzles, ignition systems, controls, and related components
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Complete service documentation and maintenance reports
  • Assist with startup and commissioning of new burner systems
  • Participate in an on-call emergency service rotation
  • Ensure all work meets OSHA and applicable code requirements
