Burn Table Operator
About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Burn Table Operaror. The Burn Table Operator will set up and operate CNC oxy/plasma machine, use overhead crane to load/unload steel plates, verify finished product meets specifications, and maintain a clean and safe work area. We are seeking a motivated CNC oxy/plasma machine operator. The operator will set up, maintain and operate the Kinetic K2500 and K5000XMC machines using overhead cranes to load/unload steel plates, calibrated measuring devices to verify finished product specifications, and 5S practices to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
- Experienced operating CNC plasma, Kinetic and oxy machines
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes.
- Read tape measure, caliper and micrometer to within +/- .005
- Experienced with overhead crane
- Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
Responsibilities
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes.
- Ability to select correct machine settings for optimal cutting operations.
- Ability to measure materials to assure conformance with design specifications.
- Ability to select correct material type, stock size and dimensions.
- Ability to transfer appropriate data onto materials.
- Ability to keep a clean, organized, and sage work area.
- Ability to keep and accurate record of daily operations and material usage
