About The Position

LTC is an interpreting agency seeking contracted Burmese language interpreters in Ft. Wayne, IN. Interpreters will accept appointments on an as-needed basis. This role requires providing on-site, in-person interpretation, acting as a liaison using the client's preferred language, and accurately interpreting appropriate to the setting and audience. Compliance with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA, is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience
• Ability to keep accurate records
• MUST be currently located in or near Ft. Wayne
• Candidate must live within commuting distance of Fort Wayne, IN.

Nice To Haves

• Interpreting certifications, preferred
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience, preferred
• Experience in a variety of medical settings, social work, education and workplace settings, among others.
